King Kalakaua III visits Boston.

[1/5] The last king of Hawaii makes Boston the last stop of his U.S. tour to lobby for lower U.S. tariffs in order to promote his islands’ sugar industry. The king is welcomed with a dinner at the Revere House the next day. He leaves Boston on January 9, 1875.
